Members of the UTSA Spirit Program dedicate numerous hours to practices, workouts, athletic events, campus activities, appearances, academic responsibilities and community involvement. Each team member is required to maintain a good quality GPA, attend strength training, maintain tumbling skills, provide hours of community service and fundraise.
Each team member is required to fundraise and/or provide sponsors to help support the expenses of this program. There are many levels of support and any amount is appreciated. The donated amount will be used to support a specific cheerleader’s requirements or be invested into the program. These funds will be used for travel, meals, camps, clinics, choreography, competition, equipment, and essential team gear. The required team gear includes practice wear, shoes, warm ups, bags, pom poms, signs, megaphones and uniforms.
If you are donating to a specific cheerleader’s account please make sure to fill in the spirit team members name to insure that the amount donated is credited to the correct account. All donations to UTSA Cheerleading are tax deductible. Please contact the Spirit Coordinator with any questions you may have.
